Emperors of Rome: The Dubois Family
Despite all the disatvantages facing them - lack of education, skill building items, jobs, in fact anything but fish and gardens - somehow the Sims of this world managed to develop. As population grew, the strongest and most intelligent of the clan realized that they could no longer subsist on merely what could be gardened and fished.
As families expanded, the youngest sims began to dream more, and along with their dreams came demands. 'I dream of a place where we learn more than the best bait to catch a golden trout!' 'I dream of banding together and making buildings, rather than simply living in caves!' 'I dream of a thing called a bathtub, where we sit in a hole filled with warm water and get clean.' 'I dream of a society, where sims work together to expand.' And so on...
Ultimately, one family, who had collected the most fish and vegetables, proved that they were the strongest, the most intelligent, the most willing to dream, and decided to establish a city. This city was called Rome, and they were in control. Please welcome Emperor Parker, Empress Aggytha, and their children:

Settling into a New Home
Arranged Courtship
The Plague?
This round was one of excitement (with everything new that was possible), frustration (when sims decided they were disgusted by their intended), and pure shock (when five of my sims dropped within a matter of hours). Upon organizing all of the Roman classes and beginning to play, I realized that all of the Patricians were related to the Emperor. Perhaps workable in actual Roman times, but Sims refuse to marry their cousins! The Eriksens (played next) were created, with a teenage daughter intended for Caden. As heir to the Empire, he cannot marry anyone below Patrician status. Unfortunately, as the pictures show, Nicole and Caden were less than impressed with each other. Even with the use of the ReNuYu Porta Chug, they still only reached 1 bolt and just had to be forced into a relationship. My favourite part was the hot tub scene. Completely a coincidence, but I loved their discussion about money and the resulting talk of woohoos.
The plague... That is the only thing I could think of to call it. Granted, it is my own fault for having MATY's Real-Sickness hack, but even still I wasn't expecting to lose more than half of my sims! I know I ought to have left them all dead, but I figured that since I had altered the game already by using a hack, it was alright to use the in-game lamp dropped off my the matchmaker. Perhaps Carlo made a deal with the god of the underworld. I wonder if that will have an effect later in his life...
Next up is the introduction of the Eriksen family:
