Patricians: The Wood Family

Alystar Wood looked around at his new Patrician home with great pleasure. Oh, what good fortune it was to be the son and heir of an original Skin 1 family. Thanks to his parents' wisdom, he had a beautiful new home in the most ideal location in Rome. Why, the emperor (his wife's brother) had his palace just down the road. The only challenges remaining were to raise his five children well. Only two out of the five were sons, unfortunately, but at least both sons promised to be strong Roman citizens someday. Daughters were always useful for some good connections later on! And perhaps he could convince his wife to try for one more son.

Pebbles also sighed with contentment as she settled into a new home. Though burdened with an awful name (a reminder of her neanderthal parents), she was married to a handsome and succesful man. She had five beautiful children and was content to let things remain the way they were. She was perfectly fine with no more children...

In contrast to the reactions of her new masters, Kyrie Ahkrif had a heavy heart. She had been forced to leave her children James and Jilly behind with her brother Rory and his family and become a slave in this household. These class distinctions introduced by the emergence of the Roman Era certainly were not to the favour of those who wound up on the bottom! Her only hope was to work hard and be unnoticed and hope that someday she and her children might be reunited. Now if only she wasn't so strongly attracted to her master.

Happy Family Life

Tragedy Strikes

At the end of the season, the Wood family was not quite in the shape it had been at the beginning. Pebbles was buried in the backyard, Alystar had slept with the slave Kyrie (who hoped this would assist in her exit from the household), children had grown up poorly, and no one knew what they were going to do next...

As for me, I learned the dangers of not paying enough attention to pregnant women (though I suppose common death during pregnancy is historically accurate) and of leaving ACR enabled sims unsupervised, especially when they have such a strong attraction. Seriously though, Alystar? You couldn't have waited AT LEAST until the next day? Again, probably the reality of a Roman household, but unexpected in the game. Next, we head down the road to visit Alystar's older sister Aida and her son Ashby. Generation 4 is on its way in his wife's pregnant belly.
