Plebeians: Dubois 2
Penny, eldest daughter of the Dubois lineage, was sentenced to Plebeian status in the new order of civilization. Even though her brother was Emperor, he was unable to look past his sister's indescretions.
"You had eight children with a married man! One, Penny, I could have managed to cover up, but eight is inexcusable. You and your offspring are relegated to Plebeian status. I'll set you up in a shop and furnish you with initial stock, but then you are on your own." With those words, Emperor Parker turned his back on his sister and walked away. It was harsh, but no man ever ruled an empire by being loving.
Therefore, Penny and three of her children moved into a shop and prepared themselves for a life for which their current skills (gardening and fishing) were of no assistance. The other teenagers (Ogen, Opal, and Orellia) had skin 4 and were sent off to populate the slave population. Here is the story of this family branch.

Further Life
The nice thing about following through a family line is getting to experience all of the different classes. Most of these initial updates shall be somewhat boring, however, as a result of the effort required to establish each of these families. The first time playing Plebeians was no different. It was so interesting to run a business again, though the necessity of clogging up my family's relationship panels with townies is disappointing. I also had my first encounter with the Unsavory Charlatan, which did not turn out as ideally as it could have. Thank goodness for the Roman belief in gods. When the Middle Ages arrive with their fear of demons, I think running as far away from the Reaper as possible will become the norm.
